Purple People Eater

I’ve had to get really, really creative (something new for a change) when it comes to gift giving this year, because I’m living somewhat of a pauper’s life *may I have another bowl of pouridge, Sir?*  I will say however, that I’ve never felt richer with love, happiness and support from my friends and family during this stage of transition.

It’s funny, because I don’t think I’ve ever been able to give as much to others like I’ve done this year either. Mostly because I’ve had the time to do so. Somehow, someway, I mysteriously find an extra coupon for mew-meow food, or I’m unexpectedly walk into the aisle that’s slashing prices, so I’m able to give to those that are less fortunate than broke-ass, me.  I suppose I give all year long. If I find a little trinket here or there in my travels, then I simply must purchase it for the person it reminds me of. As some of you know, I also bake empanadas fairly often; each little pie is sealed with a kiss from Neve Black’s Cocina for those in my life that I heart.

So, if  things were different, and I had a million dollars to spend on gift giving, one of the first things I would buy all my boy and girl friends are a pair of these:

purplegarters

Aren’t they cool? It’s okay to want them. I did. Yes, this garter belt is a real looker, because of it’s provocative, purple color, but it’s also smart too. You see, what makes this garter belt rock is the fact that you can wear your thigh high tights and heavier stockings with them. These dual hot and smart garter belts are designed for the girl that hates wearing panties, or for that matter anything pulled up and over her hips, *raises hand, meekly* but still enjoys wearing frolicking skirts and cute, short dresses during the cold winter months. These garter belts are the answer to staving off hypothermia, because legs are kept toasty warm; encased in heavy, cold weather stockings.  Go here to check out all the art-deco colors these bad boys come in. My dear friend in sunny California purchased the purle people eater pair pictured above for me as a joint birthday/Christmas present this year. They are fabulous.

Please share: How do you budget your holiday gift giving? Do you have secret ways of stretching your holiday monies? Do you sew, knit, or do some other type of crafty project? Oh, and if you had a million dollars to spend on gifts, what would you buy?

Feeling the love for metallic purple,

  • We make cookies. Alcoholic cookies, to be precise. Instead of diving into the madcap nonsense of buying things no one needs, Mr. Greyson and I send little boxes of goodies to our family(and a few friends). We make whisky balls, rum balls, kahlua balls, irish cream balls…hmm…I think that’s all the alcohol ones…as well as buckeyes. This year we’ll be adding Cardamom cookies to the line up I think as well as homemade marshmallows with toasted coconut.

Otherwise we make gifts for those we know will appreciate them. Drawings, cards, carvings…you name it, if the muse is there and willing we’ll make something.

  • Oooooh, what a great idea: alcoholic Christmas cookies! That’s just genius. Yum.

I love things made from one’s heart. That’s nice. Thanks for sharing.
